Youth Engaged in Service
Youth Engaged in Service (YES) is a youth development community empowerment program of NAMSA aimed at encouraging youth in communities of color to be more civically engaged. The program aims to build youth who are outspoken advocates for the issues that matter to them as empowered and independent black youth.
Women of Africa Initiative
Women of Africa Initiative (WAFi) is a program for women in our community that fosters leadership, engagement, activism. The initiative enhances social and economic empowerment and nurtures active involvement of women in addressing issues affecting women of African ancestry in Greater Boston and surrounding communities.
NAMSA Awards
The NAMSA Awards celebrate individuals and organizations that in various ways are impacting society through their actions. It also encourages academic excellence by providing scholarship to outstanding young students in high schools and colleges. Watch NAMSA Awards’ recipient, Grace Mecha.
